Awesome book! We loved this one! Includes: Bronze Ring, Yellow Dwarf, Little Red Riding Hood, etc. A great fairy tale book for grown-ups too! I never knew there were original fairy tales and that Disney changed them all for little ones! These don't all have good endings, but they all teach a lesson, more like real life!

Excellent original tales - many of them ending in a violent way (i.e. the olger had his head chopped off and died. The end.). However, I want my children to read original fairy tales rather than know only of their fluffed up versions.

This book is not for the faint of heart or small children. These are the old-time versions of the fairy tales. Example: Rumplestilskin becomes enraged and first drives one leg into the dirt, then becomes more enraged and grabs his other leg and rips himself in two. Example: The Little Red Riding Hood story ends with "... and this wicked wolf fell upon Little Red Riding Hood and ate her all up." There are only a few of the stories that have no such mayhem or frightening parts.
