I've enjoyed other books by Walter Mosely, but this one, while somewhat interesting at first, soon became a chore. I never like to leave a book until the end, but I had to force myself to continue reading this one,and found it too easy to lay down often, with days inbetween pick ups. Too many characters, too little character development, too much blood and gore, who was good/who was evil? I had to lay it down for good three fourths of the way through.

A sophisticated and intelligent science fiction book from an innovator of the mystery genre.

Blue Light imagines a world in which human potential is suddenly, amazingly fulfilled-a change that calls into question the meaning of human differences and the ultimate purpose and fate of the human race.

From an unknown point in the universe, an inscrutable blue light approaches our solar system. When it reaches Earth, it transforms those it strikes causing them instantaneously to evolve beyond the present state of humanity.

One man is struck at the moment he expired- becoming the living embodiment of Death.

Good book, lasts about 3 hours on two cassettes.
