I really liked this book. It kept me interested to the last page. Good characters, great story, and a ginormous dragon!

This book reminded me of the myth-inc series. It was a humorous fantasy about a prince who befriends the dragon he is suppose to kill, saves the princess and defeats the great evil. A good book to read.

Take typical constituents of High Fantasy. You know, dragons, princes and princesses, unicorns, An Ancient Kingdom Besieged By Evil, demons, magic, magic swords, warlocks... You get the idea. Fold in a cast of real characters, some of them fully aware of the world they're living in and all the irony inherent. Add three dashes each of humor, honest-to-goodness court politics, and well-done adventure, and you get Blue Moon Rising.

It is just plain good fun.

A fractured fairy tale about a virginal hero, a talking dragon, and a not-so-virginal ass-kicking princess. Cute, if a bit weak at times.
