This book took me by surprise. After reading all of Robyn's Virgin River series, which take place in a small town, this one stays in the city. Not just any city, but Las Vegas, where Robyn has lived for years and which is now my home. She gives you a real feel for what it's like to live here. Example: "Fortunately, the October weather was decent--temperature in the seventies, dry, pleasant, not too windy. Whoever had named Chicago the windy city hadn't been to Las Vegas. You could always tell the new residents by their lightweight lawn furniture and picnic umbrellas blowing down the street." (page 233)
This was a really good book. If you like Robyn Carr you will like this .
