I have completed about 25 bob orders since being a member, but there are 3 that are still outstanding...

So my question is this.. I use PBS shipping/DC and the tracking shows in one instance that the package was delivered 2/13 another 2/19 and the third a day or two later, but neither of these three have marked them received... ?

Should I contact them to be sure they received the orders? I dont want to seem pushy or rude, it isn't my intentions to be either. I am genuinely concerned and curious about these packages..

If no reesponse or if they do not ever mark received, are these going to sit on my pending bob orders forever or is there a length of time that they will finally move over to the completed section?

It drives me crazy when I go in there, cause I get confused everytime. lol.

Thanks for any info in advance. =)

Misty, if DC shows they arrived then it is perfectly find to send a polite PM and inquire if the books arrived.  I have to admit, having 3 of them like that at once seems a little odd, but certainly it cannot hurt to ask.  If more than a week goes by and you get no response, you could contact the PBS Team and have them see that the members are still active.  They so want you to give a full week though, as some people have limited computer access, vacation, etc.

They won't move to completed if the other party doesn't mark them received, though.  It's soon for that, though, hopefully when you contact the members all will be resolved. :-)

If you mail DC, you should have alrady received your credits.  After about 30 days the order will automatically move from your pending tab to transaction archive...whether or not it is marked received.

With that kind of time lapse, I see no problem pm'ing the member to see if BoB is received.  I've had a few people just forgot to mark received when RL got too busy.

Denise...BOB does not time out like that. The transactions wil sit in her pending BOB tab until the other person marks them recieved.  Misty I would go ahead and PM they marking them recieved might have slipped their mind. I've had a few BOB transactions where that happened. Goodluck!

Misty:

I've had the same thing happen and I just sent a PM. I think sometimes people forget to mark it received especially because there are a couple of buttons to click (feedback, etc).

BoBs don't work like that.  THey are creditless so the DC just tells you if the package was delivered or not.

Thank you guys for all the great advice. I will wait another week or so on the one, but the two that are nearing a month I am going to PM.

Moreso I just want to make sure THEY received the books and not some neighbor or something! If anyone else's postal carrier is at ditzy as mine, this worries me more than them sitting out open in my pending.

Thank you again guys. You have all been alot of help. =)

Happy warm and sunny Saturday!

If the books are never marked received, the transactions will stay on your Pending page.  Hopefully you do get a response from the members soon, but if you don't, you can email TPTB about it and they can see if the members are active and if they have other pending swaps.  If it seems like the member isn't active, they can move the transaction to your Completed page, even though it's technically not completed.  I had two swaps a few months ago where I sent the other member's books and then heard nothing else from them.  After a while. TPTB were able to tell me that they both had several unfulfilled swaps and moved both of them to the Completed page so I wouldn't have to look at them all the time.  Oh well!  I hope yours works out!
