My son began reading at age three with these books. The format for each booklet is carefully designed to appeal to very young readers. Very good reading time set because the child may not realized he or she is actually learning to read and so reading becomes a natural task. My son progressed though the booklets quickly and I believe that the exposure placed him on a firm ground for more difficult reading experiences.
