From back of book:

The quite little New England town of Aleford is already in the grips of a wickedly exciting local election when they're bombarded by a California movie company filming a modern-day version of The Scarlet Letter. The arrival of the quirky troupe turns out to be a red-letter day for Faith Fairchild, who is hired to cater to the talented tantrum-throwers with the best of her culinary delights.

All is going well until an accusation of food poisoning is raised -- and leveled right at Faith's kitchen. With her famous Black Bean Soup in question, and her professional reputation on the table. Faith lauches her own investigation, and runs smack into a murder most foul... and some morsels of information that could prove lethal.

Recipes included.
