I just read Body Contact by: Rebecca York. I'm realizing, now, that York is very unreliable. The books of hers that are good are really good... but half of the books of hers that I've read are mediocre at best. The other half are totally not to be missed. I guess I'll keep getting her books and skim the ones that turn out not to have hit the mark. I sure don't want to miss anything good. Do not miss her book Hopscotch! It really keeps you on your toes.
In case you haven't figured it out, Body Contact falls in the not-so-great category for me. It is a Blaze but I do want a little romance with the weird sociopathic mafia sex-island stuff. The sex was too rushed to be hot enough for pure erotica. I guess the hero needed to be a good guy so he turned down anything really interesting. So this book didn't quite make erotica but also missed the romance. It just kind of hung in the middle. I don't suggest it if you have something better to read but it would be better than nothing.

Maddy Guthrie is used to working undercover but posing as a rich man's plaything is pushing it! Especially when the "rich man," fellow agent Jack Connors, has one stipulation: make love first so they can get comfy in their roles.

The sex they share is incredible. But Maddy knows she's breaking ironclad rules as they work side by side. The only safe place to communicate is in the steamy shower and that's far too arousing for Maddy. Then there are the silken bedsheets...where Jack loses all control when he touches her. As the mission escalates, there's a new kind of danger to deal with the state of Maddy's heart.
