What happens when a hacker now employed under pain of imprisonment by a software company and with serious self-destructive issues creates an artificial intelligence program that takes on a life of its own? I did not like Victoria in the beginning, she was too hard, too twisted. But something about this book made me keep reading until I was so wrapped up in the story I resented interruptions. Has her edge of the seat ending and I found myself having strong emotional involvement with the characters.

This book was quite good. A futuristic view of Love and Artificial Intelligence. The tech talk is not to technical for an average reader-- yeat as a techie-- I found the discussions quite intrigueing, without talking down to the reader. The concepts here are thought-provoking. Not your average romance. I recommend it highly.

I couldn't really identify with the heroine in this one but the story was riveting and the author impressed me with her intelligence.
