I've taken out several Carly Phillips books out of the library this past week(Body Heat, The Right Choice, Under the Boardwalk, Sealed with a Kiss) and been reading them one after the other. Apparently, Carly only has one story in her and all the books are variations on a theme. The heroine will be "running away from her family" for some reason. She has an annoying habit of licking her lips alot which the hero finds erotic. The hero, who often has an injured shoulder, is in law enforcement in some manner, and has had an unhappy childhood in foster homes. The injured shoulder leads to a lot of the heroine-on-top sex. All smooches are full of really gymnastic tongues- including the first getting to know you kiss. There's often an unusual pet involved who is unusually and unrealistically precocious. Seriously, all of these things are present in all three books that I've read. Read one? You've read them all.

This book definitely makes me think maybe physical therapy is the line of work I should be in. Do you think I'd meet someone like handsome Jake Lowell, though? This is a story that's guaranteed to raise your temperature!

Carly Phillips is one of the spiciest. This is a quick and easy read.
A Cinderella story about the poor Therapist who works part time at a resturant, is hired by the handsome, injured cop by his sister, to give guy physical therapy. Both are cynical and life weary, but by the end of the book....
Sexy, funny and smart..love this author!
This book was an interesting read. But I do believe I had read it before somewhere. If you like romance, sexy cops and a nice ending this is one for you.
Great summer reading, but not quite as good as her other books, but still has quirky characters that you just have to love.
The author, Karen Drogin, is better known for her work as author, Carly Phillips. This was a cute little romance novel.

A police detective house sits for his sister. He has been set up in a good way. His girlfriend proves to be the real risk taker in the end.

I just finished reading this. It is somewhat of a romance/suspense. The H is a detective off duty for injuries received in the arrest of a criminal that walked due to a technicality. Jake is determined to make an arrest that sticks. Brianne is a waitress very attracted to Jake who doesn't know she is also a physical therapist. Jakes sister Rina decides to play matchmaker & sets them up in a win/win situation! Brianne becomes a target for the criminal Jake is after, which is where the suspense comes in. A good read, Carly doesn't disappoint.
Short quick read.
