Who laced the dessert with cyanide? Faith Fairchild finds herself suspect. After all she did cater the affair for her church...and made the topping for the dessert. Plus her minister husband, Tom, is the subject of nasty gossip about his relationship with the victim.

Page introduces some interesting characters as Faith tries to solve the crime and keep her catering business from collapse. When you are finished reading the book, you get to try several of the recipes mentioned.

Katherine Hall Page has found a great recipe for delicious mysteries: take charming characters, mix with ingenious plots, season with humor. Bon apetit!Halloween has come creeping into tiny aleford, Massachusetts. And Faith Fairchild has her plate full when a Murder Mystery benefit dinner is marred by a real murder.

Another new author for me and a great cozy mystery. The protagonist is Faith Fairchild, wife of a minister in a small town in Massachusetts. She owns and operates a catering service called Have Faith. Looking at info about this author, she has several books featuring Faith and I will definitely be reading more!

Halloween has come creeping into tiny Aleford, MA, and Faith Fairchild has her plate full when a Murder Mystery benefit dinner is marred by a real murder. Minister's wife Faith Fiarchild is excited about catering her church's restoration campaign kickoff at historic Ballou House. But when a beautiful young woman dies moments after finishing dessert, Faith is suddenly in serious trouble. Not only is her business in jeopardy - but Aleford's wagging tongues are suggesting that Faith herself laced the goodie with cyanide, having discovered her husband Tom's perhaps overly pastoral interest in the victim. Faith's world feels steeped in poison and never before have her amateur sleuthing skills been more crucial - especially when another body is foumd in the moonlight carrying an unmistakeable warning: you're next!

Beautiful copy! A Great HALLOWEEN MYSTERY! Order it now! I have also posted new copies of hardbacks in this series books 13 and 16.
Faith Fairchild is busy at home and at work as Halloween comes creeping into the small town of Aleford, Massachusetts. Yet, when First Parish asks her to cater the church's restoration campaign kickoff at historic Ballou House, she gamely agrees. She's never done a Murder Mystery Game benefit dinner before, and there's the additional draw of four famous local mystery writers to join in the fun. But the evening's merriment is brought to a grisly halt when a beautiful young woman dies moments after finishing every last bite of the dessert Faith has prepared!

Now Faith is in serious trouble. Her phone is ringing off the hook with job cancellations, and Aleford's wagging tongues are suggesting that it was Faith herself who laced the goodie with cyanide, having discovered her husband Tom's perhaps overly pastoral interest in the victim. Then young Ben Fairchild's elementary-school principal reveals that he's been receiving anonymous threatening phone calls. Faith's world feels steeped in poison and the one person she'd normally turn to for comfort and advice seems locked in his own private hell. Tom is barely speaking to her.

Never before has Faith's amateur sleuthing hit so close to home -- and never before has it been more crucial. She has to find out who killed Gwen Lord to save her business, her marriage, and possibly her freedom. But before she does, there's a body in the moonlight -- a body that carries an unmistakable warning for Faith Fairchild....
