Michelle I could not have said it better myself. The movie sucked that is for sure. I watched it on movies on demand  I did pay $4.98. and I could watch is more that once. It was so bad I donot think I could sit though it again. I  am glad I did not pay$12 or whatever it is to see a movie in New York now. I was so dispointed I look forward to watching it last night and could not beleive how bad it was.

Here's another thread discussing the movie:  http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=104692

Yea, it sucked.  I wish I had those 2 hours of my life back.

That bad, really? I've been waiting for it to be available...now, I'm not so sure. I trust the ladies on our HF thread implicitly.

It was opening the day before my birthday and was so upset I missed it and was so busy I didn't get a chance to see it in the theater.  Waited til a month or two ago and got it on Netflix.  Disappointing for sure, but I really wasn't expecting much, either.

I'm so disappointed to hear this!  It had such promise......I LOVED the book!

Thanks for the heads-up though!

Yeah, me too, L.  It's pretty much the book that geared me towards historicla fiction. :(

When I first glimpsed the poster around x-mas time and saw they cast Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johanssen I was put off.  The didn't do as badly as I expected they would in the roles but compared to the book the movie was just a mess.

Waste of time. Good for a life, if you're in the right mood. Good for a laugh, I meant. LOL!

It isn't my favorite movie, but I didn't hate it.  I didn't expect it to be wholly accurate or true to the book, so I wasn't disappointed. I was entertained, which all I really want from a fiction movie.

I could have cared less about historical accuracy, if I want accuracy I'll watch the history channel.  The script was awful and casting even worse.  Why they didn't cast Brits as the Boleyn girls is beyond me; I know Keira Knightley was supposed to be up for one of the roles but can't remember which.

I agree with you. I saw the movie and did not like it at all. I read the book and loved it. The movie was sadly lacking something!

I love the book and hated the movie. It was a totally waste of 2 hours.
