I was really looking forward to beginning this series of books, as I'm from Texas. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get through. It picked up towards the late middle, but it still seemed like a chore at times. There is so much Spanish, that it's cumbersome and distracting.
I feel like I missed something - like there were gaps in the story. I don't know... it just really didn't do it for me. Even most of the steamy parts made me go, "Um... yeah."

This book took me awhile to get into but once I did, I couldn't put it down! Very exciting, sexy, and suspenseful!

Great paranormanl suspense. A torchered vampire must break his oath to save the woman he loves but will it be the right thing to do?
good book , sometimes the spanish was a bit much, had to keep flipping to the glossary,(like i'm going to remember!) lol i will read the second book:bond of fire.

"Bond of Blood" is an appealing Vampire Romance. Whiteside's main protagonists are well-developed, her writing consistent with other books in this series. The book is a fast-paced easy read, an excellent choice for a plane or train trip.
