Dick Francis never fails to entertain and to hold one on the edge of their seat and he did it again with this story. He develops his characters so that you either love them or hate them but at the same time understand them. "Bonecrack" is a stunning thriller which also lets you get to know the players very well indeed. You don't have to be interested in horse racing to enjoy every single one of his books.

This was as, his other books an excellent CD to lisen to. My daughter highly recommends it; so it's my turn next, then we'll relist it. I haven't lisened to a Dick Francis yet that I've been disappointed in.
This has a stable owner being pressured by crime czar to use his son as a jockey in an important race with a valuable horse and win or else. Our hero takes control and runs things his way even with dark threats, violence and cold blooded murder.

This book is not a literary masterpiece, but does not intend to fill that category. A simple, entertaining little read. Suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride.
