Have you read any of the books that the show was based on?  I saw one today at my local book store and I was curious since you posted this if you have read them and are they good?

What do you think's going to happen next season?  I hope they let them be together.  I don't remember was the ending him waking up in the hospital the end or the show or was there more?  I can't wait to see how the new season turns out.

I can't wait! I've been looking forward to this all summer. If any of you are night owls, David Boreanaz is supposed to be on the Jimmy Fallon Show tonight.

Elizabeth--I've read and loved all of the books, but they are very different from the show. I treat them as two sperate entities in which, by happy coincidence,  the main characters share a name and a few traits. Compared to the show, Brennan is almost unrecognizable except for her career, the settings are vastly different, and most--if not all-- of the characters on the show are not found in the novels.

Thanks for the reminder.  I have read all of Kathy Reichs books.  They are very good.  However, they are not like the show at all.  They are more serious and intellectual.  She is a great writer though.

Thanks for the heads-up, Kaye. I was a little disappointed in some of the episodes in the last season so I'm hoping they don't jump the shark as much as last season.

I was given a few of Reichs' books but gave them to a co-worker. They're so different from the TV series that I don't know how I'd react to them. They're easily available from the library  so if if I decide to try the books I'll be able to get them.

if thre that different from the show I'm not sure I want to pick them up.

What did people think about the dream scene in the last episode of last season.   I didn't think it was that great.

Love the show, love the books.  BUt like the Sookie Stackhouse books/True Blood show-I take them a seperate entities.

The books are very good. But in the books Tembe is in her 50's, divorced with a grown daughter. She devides her time between (Richmond or Charlotte?) and Quebec.  She has a Canadian police detective on again off again boyfriend.  It's been awhile since I read one but if I remember right none of the TV show characters are in the books-except for Tembe of course.  They are very good.

It's been awhile since I read one, I'll have to catch up on that series.

Castle is a fun series!  The main character - Castle is a mystery writer and he starts researching a book by working with a local detective.  I like the show, but it's not high brow by any means....lol

There are books based on the TV version though.  Max Allan Collins co-authored with Kathy Reichs so search under his name.  I have sent mine out.  Completely different from Reich's series.

Yeah Jeanne, what Melani said. It started last season after Dancing With the Stars and it was such a cute series and a pretty good concept for us mystery lovers.  I think a couple of weeks ago, they had like a marathon on ABC showing 3 in a row on one night.  I don't know if they have told us when it starts this season, but when they do you will have to watch it with us!  It helps that the main guy is a cutie, too!

I'm in the almost to the end of the first book and have only one disk to go in my first season of bones.  Love both.  The book is a change from the Cozy's I read very hard..  ( i guess thats the way to put it) I get the show on DVD from my netflix.  so it takes a little longer to watch a whole season.
