This was the first organizing book I purchased as a you mom many years ago. I have read many more and I still rate it as one of the best. Her ideas and guidance are so practical and easy to follow. She coveres every area in managing the home and tells you exactly, easily how to change. It helped me so much; it changed me and how I looked at managing my home. In a short time I was organized, and my home was running smoothly. I am an empty nester now and I still use many of the things I learned in it.
I have read many many home organizing books and this is one of the BEST for basic, clear and easy steps to organzing your home and time and keeping it that way.
One of the best books I've read on keeping up the housework.
Lots of information on running a household, from organizing the house, getting kids to help do housework, housecleaning/time saving tipcs, etc.
Training your kids to take care of the house... Easy ways to create more storage speace... Tim-saving secrets of a prefessional cleaner... How to create a kitchen of convenience...Conquering the dishes, mending, laundry.... The essential guide for getting control of your home...
I love to read organizing books. I keep hoping that one day, I will find the secret to organization, and Presto! My life will be changed forever.
This is a basic, down to earth book- with many different kinds of suggestions.
I do tend to resent books like this, because it's only in a perfect world where all kids will eat the foods suggested, be able to be obedient and do as they are told and be super woman and be able to do it all.
I did find that the storage space ideas are helpful, as are tips for paper work.
It's worth the read, but don't feel bad if your family won't eat beans to save money.
