These visits to haunted Seattle by a local reporter and too good not to share. Here, here and here.

"Are you there?"

I watched the first one ... will have to watch the other two tomorrow in the light of day!

Wait until the one with the little girl and the chair. *shudders*

I really do need to do the underground tour of Seattle. I've lived here all my 50+ years outside of three of them and have never done it. More on the Irish pub/former mortuary here. The ghost stories around the Pike Place Market have been too many and too long to doubt. Now to forget all this and try to get to sleep...

I am a definite believer. For one thing, I think it's rather presumptuous for us to think we are the be all and end all of existence. Then there is all the evidence through all the years. Most personally, however, is that my husband had several encounters with spirits throughout his life.

I agree, although I'd never want to find out via hands on experience.

Bil lived in an old farmhouse in Ohio for about a year in the early 80's. Several strange things happened while they were there. There were the usual unexplained banging and slamming noises (particularly recurring was the sound of a door slamming). And one of the boys (about 8 at the time) woke up screaming in terror more than once. Normal kinds of run of the mill creepy stuff. But there were two really odd things that happened ...

Bil went to the basement late one afternoon to light the furnace and was nearly overcome by the strong smell of Windsong perfume. Another time, after coming home at the end of the day, the placemats from the dining room table were all neatly placed in the chairs.

Logical explanations? Perhaps - but no one in the house wore or owned Windsong perfume and Bil was the last one out the door and the first one home and he knew he hadn't moved the placemats; so perhaps not.
