I received this book in the mail. I notified the sender the book was damaged. They said it was in good condition when mailed. Does this book look to be in posting guidelines to you? The binding is tearing from the spine.

Its hard to tell from your picture but it looks like a cleaved spine and that would make in unpostable. Do not worry about having an unresolved rwap on your account if the sender gives you a hard time. one problem won't cause Paperback swap to cancel your account.

I am just so frustrated because this is a first for me. We buy used books everywhere. It is what I primarily give my daughter for presents, as she goes through books really fast and its her favorite thing. She does not expect new books, nor do I expect used books to look or feel new. But, this one is going to fall apart before she reads it, and that makes. Me feel frustrated. She is only six, so a big book is difficult for her to hold anyhoo. She reads well above her level, so she is used to being awkward with her books, but this ones going to fall apart.

Looks like I have received 234 books without issues, so I guess I have been very blessed. But. I also have accepted cleaved spine books in the past if they were rare and the sender informed me, and I have also accepted books with taped spines, smoke smells, and watermarks. I pretty much don't care if its my book. LOL. I mainly read out of print books, so I feel grateful to get ANY copy of them. But, I don't think my six year old can gracefully maneuver a book that's on its last legs.
