Just got a HB book today with DJ from down south; the sender used the 2 page PBS wrapper and literally wrapped it around the book leaving both ends totally exposed.  And as an added feature one part of the wrapper was taped to the DJ.

Amazingly, the book made the trip without any wear & tear from being exposed.  It is definitely repostable, with DJ because I managed to remove the packing tape without ripping the DJ.

In my Thank You PM to the sender I did mention the wrapping issue in hopes that future packaging attempts will be more complete.

I've received a book wrapped like that before (and like you, mentioned to the sender that the wrapping wasn't sufficient).

I have to say, in most cases, USPS is amazing!

I have gotten a couple like that too, and was also shocked that the books made it fine with no damage. I also sent a gentle reference to the PBS wrapping guidelines to the sender--they were both new, and both were appreciative of the help.

Janice, I absolutely do have good luck here at PBS...I won't say I have "all" of it, because I think a great majority of transactions here go smoothly from start to finish. I've been a member for over 5 years and have sent over 1600 and received over 1500 books, and can count the problem transactions on my fingers--no toes needed. LOL Don't know why that is...definitely seems some people have lots of troubled transactions, but I've been thankfully not one of them!

Sounds like someone with a short attention span getting disrupted while wrapping!

I've had the same thing happen.  It's amazing that so many of us have received them undamaged like that.
