Today I received a book that I ordered for my Grandson. I thought I had asked that it be sent to him but it came to me which is OK since they are coming to visit. THe problem is that I can't mark it received becasue there's not record of it anywhere. I checked all the tabs and the transaction archive, the credit registry, etc. The label was a bit different too. Not the usual wrapper label. I would like to mark the book received but can't figure out how to do it. I looked in the help section too. Any suggestions? Deb

It should be either on your My Account main page or in your Transaction Archive.  Can you check what type of sort you have your TA set for?

On your My Account main page, scroll down below the light blue "message from the librarian" box.    If you don't see the transaction there, look to see if you have some tabs.  One them them may say "En Route to Me".  Click on that tab to see if it's there.

If not, go to your transaction archive again.  On the sky blue bar, sort by "Books Requested by Me" --> "All Transactions" --> "Date requested" --> "Descending."

It's also possible that the person sending it didn't mark it mailed and it's still on your Books to be Mailed to you tab.  That happened to me the other day.  The person printed the wrapper, but for got to mail it, and it arrived.  I just sent her a PM and she marked it mailed and I then marked it received.  Good luck. The label was a bit different too. Not the usual wrapper label.

Are you 100% sure you ordered the book from another PaperBackSwap member in exchange for one credit? Is it possible that you clicked the Buy From Amazon button instead and purchased the book from an Amazon seller?

Thanks to all of you for responding. In doing a little more poking around I discovered that I actually did order it from Amazon!

It was one of the other sellers though so that is why the label was strange. I don't remember doing it though. I feel like an idiot now. LOL. Losing my mind I think.

Thanks again for all your help with a newbie. I *am* enjoying this place a lot though!

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what happened.  Hate it when you're left hanging and don't know the final outcome.  Glad it all worked out for you.  Pat
