Well this can be just one post or an on-going thread. There's a give away at HNR for the two Frances Hunter books on Lewis and Clark. I've read both and enjoyed them a lot. http://historicalnovelreview.blogspot.com/2010/02/win-set-of-frances-hunters-books.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HistoricalNovelReview+%28Historical+Novel+Reviews%29&utm_content=Google+Reader

Ew, I'd love to read these, but I already screwed up my entry. Duh. Each entry has to include an original fact and while I was reading around on the blog, someone else posted the fact I had in mind. I should have checked. Doh!

Great idea for a thread!

I saw that in March, the same blog will be hosting a give-away for Donna Russo Morin's newest book, "The Secret of the Glass". I haven't gotten around to reading her first book yet.

Holly, good job. Genie, if you're on a book's page and it has a giveaway it will say so. Also if you click on explore books I believe there's a tab for giveaways.

Valli, I've read DRM's first book The Courtier's Secret and was fairly underwhelmed. Her prose was terribly purple at the start although it improved later. The worst for me was the head-clubbing-mind-numbing-way-too-much-historical-detail. That plus some eye rolling hard to believe she could change out of all that dress and petticoats by herself (let alone hide it under a privy lid) and getting in and out of the male clothing. Just my humble opinion though - wouldn't want anyone knocking me for that ;(
