Even if you are not a beekeeper, this is a fascinating look at how to manage bees and how to enjoy living with them. The author has so much experience that almost everything she writes seems effortless and to come from common sense. Her style is relaxed and knowledgeable and she does not patronize her readers. She just wants to share her experiences with her readers so that they may come to understand that beekeeping may not be for everyone, but it is a very interesting hobby for some.

A fascinating book even for those who care nothing for bees. She writes of her life in the country and small town life as well as the bees she raises.
