I received a trade paperback book with the numbers "123" written across the back cover in permanent marker.  The numbers are about 2-3 inches tall.  It takes up a good chunk of the back cover.  I looked in the help center and didn't see anything forbidding this, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable posting it.

What do you all think?  Would you care if you got a book with permanent ink writing on the cover?

This is my personal opinion but, I do not see that that makes it unpostable.....it doesn't obscur text  pages, it would be no different that a sticker on the cover...

Random thought here (I'm good at those), try using a magic eraser to remove the numbers. I have had good luck using these to remove writing from markers. Just be careful that it is barely damp.

LOL You must be buying all the "magic" ones. The ones I've tried didn't clean any better than a spray bottle of the cheap cleaner and a paper towel.
