In all of my years here, having submitted hundreds of edits, I have never seen this happen. I submitted an edit as usual, adding things from the audio book on CD's box that weren't included on the book detail page. I came across the book detail page again today and noticed that the description had been updated, but the title and narrator had not. I thought perhaps someone new to the Data Edit Team had missed it, but when I went to edit the page again, the updated info was sitting there in the edit page, yet it doesn't tell me that there is already an edit pending as it normally would. Anyone have any idea why this would happen? If any member of the Data Edit Team would care to check it out, here is a link to the page: http://www.paperbackswap.com/Jack-Higgins-CD-Jack-Higgins/book/1455806153/ |

Sasssy, all the data doesn't update at the same time on all servers. It usually isn't far enough apart to be aware of it, but image and edit approvers see it alot. Well, I don't see it much anymore but that's because I seldom check back on an edit in less than a week. Images are updating amazingly fast these days, but we used to see updates to the thumbnail-size on the lists several days before the main page would update.
So, when it doesn't tell you there is an edit pending (that's true!) but the data shows on the edit page, it means the edit has been approved but hasn't finished updating... Last Edited on: 10/15/16 6:27 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

Thanks so much. It looks like it has all updated now. I appreciate the explanation. |
