OK I am a fan of the alien abduction futuristic type book.  As long as the alien is humanoid and not like a lizard or something. Shapeshifter ok as long as he's basically human. I read one once where they had sex in gargoyle form and just ewww.

Anyway I also love historicals.  So tell me does this book exist? Where the hot male alien comes to earth in the past to find his mate?  So far it's always a contemporary woman.  Just wondering.  If I had any sort of writing talent at all I would create a story like this myself.

So....no tentacles then? lol

I think Rejar by Dara Joy might fit what you're looking for. I don't think it's really futuristic-y though, at least not enough for my taste. More fantasy-ish.

Mary,

You can try the following titles.  They are erotica and all contemporary.

The Empress' New Clothes (Trade Paperback Erotic Romance) by Jaid Black  This is the first in a series.  Some of the sequels have what you are looking for.

Alien Overnight by Robin L. Rotham

Planet Mail by Kate Pearce

Double Trouble (Planetary Passions) by Allyson James

No see I'm for an alien who comes to lets say the Old West or Regency England to find is mate.  Instead of him finding a modern Earth woman.

No problem.  I've read loads of the alien/modern women.  I just thought it would make a good story if say some big sexy alien males landed in the Old West to find their mates.

I really wish I could write but I suck at it.

Western historical alien time travel romance. Clearly we need a new genre here. I'd definitely read something like this. I love to write for fun but I'm afraid all my stories have dragons in them, with the occasional weather demon. I'm not sure how that would translate to a western historical alien time travel romance theme. Perhaps a sexy alien could try to kidnap my heroine who has time traveled to the old west with the dragons. Um. ;-)

I had forgotten that about Rejar. I liked it, its on my keeper shelf. I don't recall any other  historical alien mate stories. I know I would like them, I'm all for what you said at the top, Mary. Even better if there are 2 of them looking for 1 mate :)

by the way Double Trouble by Allyson James is not at all about aliens, I just finished it today. Its about ancient Greek gods and stuff. Not sure why they subtitled it Planetary Passions.

The Demon's Daughter by Emma Holly...maybe.

I haven't actually read this, so I'm not 100% sure, but from reading the back it sounded like what you are talking about.

Jacq's Warlord might be another one.....I haven't read it but it looks like it might fit the criteria.
