I looked to see if this had already been covered but I am still getting acquainted with PBS so please forgive me if this has been addressed often.

Is there a way to see how many copies of a certain book has already been posted? I know that I probably have books currently listed that may never be selected because there are so many copies already listed. In cases such as this, it may be better to donate the book to our library's swap shop. It's not a bother to me in any way, I was just curious.

Thanks for your kindness and consideration.

Sincerely,

Joanne

Add the book to your reminder list and  it will tell you how many books are available there.

And unless it's in the high hundreds, don't let a 'high' number of copies in the system deter you from putting it on your shelf. When a book is requested from you the requestor can search your Shelf to see if they want anything else, and I've had books requested that had 150+ copies in the system.

You never know when it'll be the right time for someone to break down and request a book they've been waffling about. If you have the space to hold the books and the patience to wait, it *can* pay off.

I've donated books to thrift shops or the library instead of putting them on my Bookshelf, sometimes it depends on the mood I'm in - if I'm in decluttering mode the books go OUT.
