I had a book that was marked as lost in the mail just the other day.

Well, as these things go, I open my mailbox this afternoon, and there it is.

The book was supposedly mailed on 1/23.
The postmark says 2/7.

Go to your account then find transaction archives in the links under the tabs there. Find that book and mark it recived. Make a note of when it was actually mailed in the section to send a note to R&R and make sure you fill in that part of the survey.

either they didn't mail it when they were supposed to OR something happened (maybe stamps fell off?) and they had to resend it.

just mark the date down on the form when you fill in the details and R&R will note if this becomes a habit

There were no stamps - it was one of those digitally printed postage things - that's how I know the mail date.

Just kind of annoying.  I requested the book over a month ago.

There is a member on another book swapping site who only mails books out every 4-6 weeks, and I really wanted a book of hers but she said it would take at least a month, so I know how you feel!

I am also tired of mailing out endless packages first class so I can get my credits faster, and then after they request the books they drop off the face of the earth, or they don't mark it received for several weeks!

depending on how the package was wrapped, there could have been stamps that fell off, was sent back and she might have repackaged or taken it to the PO that time.  That is what I meant by the possibility of stamps falling off.

of course she could have also just mailed it late or marked it mailed and then life happened and she couldn't mail it until when she did.

at least the book showed up!
