I ordered 2 books for my DGD. They were marked 'accepted' by the sender, but never marked mailed. PBS reordered the books for me and they were on my 'ordered my me' shelf awaiting the new senders to take action. One sender still had 'waiting for member' indicated, the other sender had 'accepted', but not yet printed the label.
The books were ordered on 2.8.11, accepted by sender on 2.11.11, declared unmailed by PBS on 2.17.11. The books arrived at my DGDs on 2.18.11, shipped priority first class on 2.15.11. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the second set of orders, and let the original sender know I'd received them (was able to mark them received through the "Transaction Archives".)
However, my question is: What if both the second set of senders had marked 'accepted ' and printed the labels.? Would I have had to send credits to both the original sender who hadn't marked the books sent (BTW - she's not a new member - been with PBS a couple of years), and the second set of senders, who in good faith received the orders, but fortunately for me hadn't printed labels yet? Thanks. Pat
According to the Help Docs:
When you receive 2 copies for a book after submitting only one request, you are not obligated to give a credit for the extra (canceled) copy. You are obligated to mark the properly sent copy received.
