I received a book last week and marked it RWAP.  Sent a PM to the sender asking for my credit back since the book was in very bad condition, stained, crinkled pages overall nasty.  Have not received a response to the PM.  I have though received a credit back for it but I don't know that it was from the sender.  The credit registry just shows a credit coming back but not who from.

This is what it says for returning the credit. Does this mean it came from the sender?  I know I need to mark as resolved I'm just not sure what option to mark. Thanks.  First time I've asked for a refund from a sender.

Yes, it came from the sender.

Yes, it would come from the sender. PBS itself does not refund credits for RWAPped books, so it is at the sender's discretion whether to refund or not.

Yes, it came from the sender so I would mark the RWAP as resolved.

If someone wanted a credit back from me, they should return the book.

According to the help, if you ask for a book to be returned, you need to provide another credit.  So that would be two credits.  Sorry Kelly.  That is PBS policy.

You are not required to return a damaged book to the sender unless they give you postage or an extra credit back.

So if you ignore the posting guidelines you should be prepared to lose the credit and the book. There are other trading sites that allow damaged books.  I do 2 this one for my nice books and the other one for my damaged ones.
