Hello.  I received a book as part of a deal and just glanced through it quickly.  I posted it on my bookshelf and it is now requested.  Upon looking at it closer, the front of the book has pages 155 through 178 in the front then it has the frontispiece, title page etc and starts at page one.  It is complete after the extra pages added to the front.  Does this make it unpostable?  There is nothing else wrong with it, just those extra pages.  No pages are missing afterward, the book is complete following that error.  Thank you for your help.

I thought so too but I did PM the requestor to let her decide.  I do not like to surprise people or send bad books.  Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this for me.

I vote for postable.  I normally don't PM about postable books but I think it was right to do on this one.  It's kind of an oddball situation.

Once a new book I ordered from Amazon had 50 pages in the middle bound upside down.  I sent it back for a replacement.  Same problem with 2nd books.  Not wanting to risk a 3rd: I turned the book upsidedown and read those 50 pages and then sent it back for a refund. I wouldn't post that one. But yours is just a matter of flipping through some extra pages.

I wonder if there's another copy out there missing those pages.

This question comes up once in a while, and IIRC the book is postable if it's a printing error and all the pages are present (regardless of order or extras).

Thank you all for your help.  The requestor said to go ahead and send it.  I appreciate everyone's assitance on this!
