It has a decidely big lead for our list with five votes to the three the closest runner up got. There are 229 copies posted in the system so we shouldn't have any problems getting ahold of them. Also I found a good long list of discussion questions for this book, they are located at http://www.readinggroupguides.com/guides3/big_stone_gap1.asp

Sorry for being a day late, I just sorta fritzed on what day it was until DH reminded me. Off to create the new list.

I have my copy on order and I was able to get a hardback.  It looks like a good read!

I'm just happy that it's only 320 pages :D It does look like a good read.

I found my copy of this book, it is at the bottom of my books that I have piled up for the REMINDER swap that Lavonne hosts each month.  I have many of these books in this series on my TBR pile.  I hope it is great.   I will start reading this late June.

The Reminder swap is on vacation for the summer, but you know your reminder list? This is a great swap where you list books that you want, and that are readily available on PBS. (sometimes people list a WL book, but not often)

Here is the last months game link.  If you go down you can see the books traded

May Reminder List Swap -Completed

Books To Receive

If you look under each persons books that they are receiving you can see their list/link to their books they want.

Here is an example of my list.

Azmoms most wanted

No stealing, you pm the hostess on a first come first serve with a list of books you have on your TBR (to be read ) pile.

You can choose how many books you want to send and you receive the same amount.

I am pretty sure BIG stone Gap is on someones Reminder list/wanted list cause I created a link of book on my TBR that others in this swap have wanted, so I can possibly read them next.  LIKE that ever happens.

Picked up mine from the library, but I have a hacky cold that's kicking my butt. Come to think of, nothing would be finer than to sit down and read something unrelated to work! What is this vegging-out that people speak of? I'm just getting back into the swing of book club... so we'll be dicussing this one in July, right-o?

It's very nice weather here - hot but not scorching, and I'm finding it hard to be tempted by a book with snow drifts on the cover.
