Yesterday I received a book that I had requested.  The member had accepted my request and had printed the label, but had not marked it mailed yet. So  I was surprised to get the book yesterday, since I thought it hadn't been mailed.  I PMed the member right away and asked them to mark the book mailed, so I could mark it received.  They never responded and today, the request timed out and the book was put back on my WL.  I did take the book off my WL, so that I don't get it again, but my question is, what should I do about the credit for this book?  I was just going to buddy the member the  credit, but then I discovered that he was no longer a member. His account has been "suspended or closed".

I don't feel right getting a book without paying a credit.  I was thinking that if there is no way to resolve this, I will just donate the credit to the Books for Schools.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

you should be able to mark it received in your transaction archive now.  Go to your archive, and look for the book (it should be near the top).  Make sure the name of the sender is the person who sent the book, and click on the "Was the book received?" button.

Thanks Britney - I never thought of going into the transaction archive.  Problem solved.

you paid the credit when you ordered the book.

Wendy - the credit was returned to the OP when the transaction timed out.
