I received a book and when I went to mark it received, I noticed that the sender must have printed out the label, mailed the book and didn't mark it mailed... I sent the person a PM, but haven't received a response.  What will happen if they don't go and mark it mailed?  Is there any way I can mark it received if the transaction gets cancelled?

Did it arrive within the window for the person to mark it mailed? Is it still on your "requested" list? If so, you'll just have to wait until either the person marks it mailed or it times out and cancels.

Once it cancels, you can go to your transaction archive and mark it received from there.

First make sure that the book you got is from the same member who has an active transaction on your My Account page. What may have happened is sender A mailed the book but forgot to mark it mailed so it was canceled. Then sender B got the request, has accepted it but has not yet mailed it. If that's the case, then sender A's transaction is in your Transaction Archive and sender B's transaction is on your My Account page. If you got sender A's book, you should try to get sender B to cancel the transaction so you don't get two copies, and you can go to your Transaction Archive and mark sender A's book received. If sender B has already mailed, then you aren't required to mark A's book received.

If the book you got is really from the active transaction on your My Account page, then you did the right thing to PM the sender. If he doesn't mark it mailed then the system will cancel it two nights after the deadline you see on your screen. When that happens, you want to make sure and cancel the new request that will be created as soon as possible. Then go to your Transaction Archive and mark the one you got received.

I checked and it is from the right person.  If they don't mark it mailed, I will just go into the transaction archive after it is cancelled and mark it received from there.  Thanks for your help!

so it is still on your pending page?  that is fast shipment!

They can still mark it mailed if it is pending, they just need to do that.  Have you PM'd them to do that?
