I ordered a book a few weeks ago and I just got a PM that it was damaged in the mail and returned to the sender.  We are both working together to solve the problem, but are not sure how to cancel the order and return my credit so I can get the book from another swapper.  Should I mark "damaged in mail" on my end, even though I didn't receive the damaged book, or is there a way for the sender to mark it damaged on her end?  Thanks!

The book should be declared lost soon and you won't have to worry about it.

You might see if the book has a different ISBN out there and order it that way.  It will be treated as  "different" book since the ISBN is different and you won't have to wait for the first order to "go lost".

Use the contact us link at the bottom of the page to have them cancel the transaction.

ETA: The sender should do this. The transaction will be cancelled and the requestor will get the credit returned.

You should NOT mark "damaged in mail" on your end, since this would imply you received it, which you haven't.  Either wait until it goes lost or contact the site owners for assistance.

I had this happen once and we solved it quite nicely.  I sent her a credit and she just marked it received.  But it was not a wishlist book.  If this is a wishlist book, I would either wait for it to go lost or the sender should contact TPTB.
