I just got a notice for the post office that a PBS book was returned by a requestor.  I haven't gotten the book back yet, but I will have to pay postage twice.

Has this situation ever come up before and how was it handled?

Thanks

do you know why it was returned?  Was there insufficient postage?  hmmm will have to read the help docs and see if there is any thoughts.

You will have to wait to see why it was returned I think. If it was returned for postage due, you can repost the book and send out again, no recourse on the receiver. If the receiver denied the book for any reason other than postage due, this is a no-no and you can PM them to ask for a credit back and reimb for the postage to get the book pack from the PO.

Maybe the postage came off and it arrived postage due, so the receiver wouldn't take it?  Sorry that happened - let us know the reason for it's return if you can figure it out when the package comes back!

P.S.  I recently got a notification from Amazon that a book I ordered had been denied and sent back to them.  I looked up the delivery record and it had actually been delivered to a neighbor - who denied delivery because it wasn't addressed to them!  Maybe that's what happened in your case as well.  Instead of the post office re-delivering the package to me (where it should have gone all along), they sent it back to sender.

Thanks for the replies. The post office always slaps the return to sender sticker on the address, so I cannot tell if it was wrong.

I am sending it out again and the requsestor is reordering
