I ordered this book on here. So it has been in the system awhile. I posted the book to my bookshelf and it is displayed there, just as it should be.  But when I do a book browser search for the book by title, it can't find it. It finds it if I search  by ISBN. But I think most people search by title not ISBN.  And like I said before, this is not a new posting. So it should be in the system by title, not just by ISBN.

To whom do I report this error?

Oh, and the book is THE BOOKLOVER'S BOOK LIST,  0810907429.

When I typed in the book's name without the apostrophe, it didn't show up. But when I typed in the title with the apostrophe it did, so all is well, if they remember the apostrophe, lol.

When I copy what you have written for the title into the search box it comes up so I would guess that it isn't returning it for you because (a) you spelled it differently or (b) since it is on your shelf it is only returning other versions that you might want to order.

Do check if you have the search set for all books or only posted books.

I have it set for All Books.

And I am having the same problem with another book on my bookshelf, DON OF THE DEAD by Casey Daniels. When I search for DON OF THE DEAD, I get no results.

Also I am still getting no result when I search for BOOKLOVER'S BOOK LIST.

I just did another search in the Book Browser, All Books, for just the author, Casey Daniels, and again I got no result.

The search is funky today.  Just like the count and the re-action time.  PBS must be doing something behind the curtain.

I don't understand why there is a problem because everytime I search those books, I get them. You may have to contact the team to find out why you're having this problem.

If the problem doesn't get better by next week, then I will contact the PBS team. I'll give it a few days to see if it goes away on its own first.

Maybe this problem and several others mentioned have something to do with the tinkering they were doing on the site Wednesday Afternoon.

Do you have any genres excluded in your account? If so, books with those genres won't show up in your search results.

Here's a link to the search results for "Don of the Dead". How many listings do you see when you click this link? http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browser.php?s_type=b&k=&ti=don+of+the+dead&a=casey+daniels&g1=&g2=&g3=&g4=&g5=&b[]=Paperback&b[]=Hardcover&b[]=Audio+CD&b[]=Audio+Cassette&friends_tag_id=&pd_type=e&pd=&r=n&sby=&oby=ASC&ts=&saved_name=

"Booklover's Book List" shows up when I search for it, but it's a journal and it's categorized as Stationery, so you're not allowed to swap it here. The database contains all items that have ISBNs, but you may only post items to your shelf if they meet the requirements in the Help doc "What can be posted for swapping here?"

I don't have any genres excluded.

I got the book on here, so I just assumed it was acceptable. I didn't know stationery was not acceptable.

When I put DON OF THE DEAD into the soft search box -- the one in the blue bar at the top right of any page, I get 3862 results.  When I put it in the title box, I get 6 results.

A soft search for BOOKLOVER'S BOOK LIST yields 6 results, while a title search gives me one -- the same ISBN you listed.

In the search box popping up on the left, I have it set to "all books."

Clicking on the select and exclude genre links, I checked and have no genres selected or excluded.

I have 4 checkmarks for paperback, hardcover, audio CD and audio cassette.

Large print only and friends' books are not checked.

I have no publication date selected, and the menu for "recent posts only" is toggled to "no."

Also, when you say you search for it but can't find it, if you mean that you find it but that there is no order button, that's normal.  We don't see an order button for books we have posted to our own bookshelf.
