I was offered a book that was on my Wish List and accepted. This morning I got an email saying that the sender had declined to send the book by clicking "My book does not meet requestor conditions", gving smoke as the reason. The thing is, I don't have any requestor conditions! Anyone have any idea what might have happened here?

Sounds like a glitch that needs to be addressed with R&R re feedback.

Or they just clicked the wrong button when responding to the request. They might have meant to just click the. 'I can't send this book button'  and hit the other one by mistake.

I wonder if it was a "double post" (two copies posted instead of one), and that might have goofed up the order?

ETA: And yes, I would report that to R&R. If you have no conditions, you shouldn't get turned down. Sorry about the book. :(

On the bright side, at least you've still got your place in line.

Well if there were no conditions it won't give you the "book doesn't meet requestors conditions" option. It'll just ask "can you send this book" or "I cannot send this book".  I think right?  Sounds like a PBS glitch.  You should still retain your place as 1st in the WL line.  But unfortunately that book might have already been passed on to the next person in the WL. I would notify PBS about the problem so it doesn't happen again.

I'm not sure if the same thing happened to me today or not, but I got an automated email saying a book I requested couldn't be mailed to me and at the bottom of the email, it says "Please note that you will not be able to request THIS copy of the book from this sender, even if you change your Requestor Conditions. You will need to wait until another copy of the book becomes available." I don't have conditions set either. It's been a while since I had a request rejected, so I'm not sure if that's just standard in the automated emails notifying you that your request couldn't be mailed.

Jennifer, The email that you got sounds exactly like the one I got. Maybe it IS a glitch in th system. I will report it to R & R and see what happens.
