I mailed a book late last month to Florida and just was notified by PBS that it hasn't arrived.  It has been designated Lost.  Is it likely snarled in post-weather postal chaos?

Probably. When the receiver receives it, they can mark it received in the transactions tab.

While no longer a big topic in the news anymore, there are still a lot of places in Florida without power, especially in the rural areas.

Marni, what city/town was it going to?

Marni, did you use PBS printed postage or perhaps did you go to the Post Office and get a tracking number?  The tracking number is printed on your receipt.  Check the USPS website if you have a tracking number even if it was mailed with PBS postage.

Last I heard, a number of post offices were still closed in Florida due to Irma.

Alas, I do not have the tracking number.  Murphy's Law: the one time I do not have the receipt from mailing a book is the one time it is marked missing.  And I don't remember the city, either.

I think it will eventually make it to the receiver.

I just received a message (yesterday) from USPS that a pkg (book) that I'd sent to PA has been delayed and I'd receive a new eta.   When I asked at my local PO, they said that mail is piling up in the hubs due to over-all delivery problems being experienced because of hurricanes and cannot yet be forwarded so is causing delays across the spectrum...

Glad to be able to say my books have arrived safely in Florida.

You might be able to see the address in your transaction tab.

All my books are arriving in FL ok so I think it's hit and miss depending on where you are mailing to.

A couple of weeks ago I had a request to Puerto Rico, When I went to mail it the PO said the address was not a good one so I cancelled the request. I dont see how anything could get delivered there. I feel so sorry for all those people. How would a person even know where to start again.
