it didn't meet requestors conditions. They didn't have any RCs....at least not when they requested the book from me. What should I do? Maybe it was marked RWAP by accident. The book I sent met PBS conditions when it was mailed. This is my first book being sent marked as RWAP & I'm a little confused. Should I return their credit or what?

I'd look at the details on the transaction and if there are no RCs, I'd PM them and tell them that. RCs "stick" so whatever is in there is what was there when you got the transaction. They may think they have them, but never turned them on. Don't return the credit until you know what they are talking about and it is an error on your part. If they didn't have them turned on, you don't have any obligation to return the credit. Make sure to ask them to mark it as RWP in error if they did not have RCs in place on your order. If they did have them and you just missed em, return the credit.

Ugh, I had someone mark a book I sent out RWAP reason being "Request Conditions Not Met"because it was a hardcover that didn't have it's jacket---well, she didn't have any blasted RCs of any kind!  She was a newbie who hadn't read the club's rules and mistakenly thought I sent out a book I wasn't supposed to.  Well, she didn't get her credit back.

I got one marked like that a while back as well.  I wrote to PBS and they said that it wasn't on there when I accepted it.  So I PM'd them and told them that.  They told me that it used to be, you could add a RC AFTER you had requested a book, and it would show up, however, it isn't like that anymore.  by the way, her RC was she wanted it to be a certain pic on the cover

Jonnie, when you get a request and the person has requestor conditions, you have to read their conditions and click a box that says your book meets the conditions before you can click the box that says you can mail the book.

You can't miss RCs, it's an extra step you have to click thru to send the book.

When a request is made that has RCs attached, is it in bright flashy letters so that the sender notices it? - You actually have to hit a button that says Yes, The book meets the Requester Conditions and there's a big ol' warning that if you send one that doesn't meet the RCs you will lose your credit.

They told me that it used to be, you could add a RC AFTER you had requested a book, and it would show up, ... - How would that even work? I think they are confused it with accepting a WL offer.

I recently sent out 2 books with RCS. I check my transaction archive and if you click on request details it'll show you the requestors conditions if they had them. Check that, if there are no RCS then PM the person that you were not asked to confirm RCS before accepting the request.  If they still give you trouble then contact PBS. They will be able to tell that the person did not have RCS on when they requested the book from you.

Like Sarah says: you can't miss RCS.  They are right there when a book request comes. You have to accept the RCS before you can even accept to mail the book.  So you can't miss them.  I think the RCS even show while the book is in the Books to Mail tab. But I could be wrong on that.

If you know there were no RC's, and your book met PBS guidelines, do not return the credit.

I had that happen to me once.  I have a smoker in home and never say ok to RCs that deal with smoke.  I sent a book out and the requester sent me a pm and told me that I didn't follow his RC.  You are right, you can't miss an RC - I am convinced that when the book was requested it did not have an RC.  I suppose it is possible that he ordered, I accepted and then sometime before the book arrived he added the RC to his account.
