Search - Book of Shadows: Book One (Sweep)

A series I just discovered, by accident. Im glad I did! I really enjoyed this 1st book in the series and have already ordered books 2-4 from PBS! It is a YA book, and not very long so it is a quick read, but I really enjoyed it. It is about teen witches. Focuses alot on the Wiccan religion. Interesting.

Morgan Rowlands is a normal teenage girl. She gets good grades, hangs out with her friends, and goes to church with her family on Sundays. Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens to her... until she meets Cal Blaire.

Cal is the new cute senior who has just transferred to Widow's Vale High. His looks aren't the only thing that sets him apart from other boys. He's Wiccan, a different religion than Morgan and one that she has never come into contact with before.

Something about Cal and his religion interests Morgan and her best friends, Bree and Robbie. The more they hang out with Cal, the more they like him. While with Cal, Morgan learns something about herself that completely blows her mind -- and may change her life forever.

This book was fun to read. The story was great and you learn a thing or two about Wicca as you read it (it's not scary!). BOOK OF SHADOWS is the first of 14 books, plus a super edition novel, so this is only the start of Morgan and Cal's adventures.

A tried and true story of teenage witches just learning the craft with a twist. Morgan secretly loves the new kid, Cal but hides it from everyone even her best friend, Bree who is also in love with Cal and claims dibs. This puts great stress on the two girls and creates a major rift.

Morgan is very interested in Cal and his Wiccan ways. Her initiation into the ways of Magick are very stressful because her parents forbid her to even read books on the subject and the entire situation with Bree.

I really think Morgan's parents are hiding something as their reaction to her Wiccan books was way over the top. It will be interesting to see where Morgan goes with this religion and to see if her friendship with Bree survives Cal.

Books are short and quick,have put a few more on hold.Can't wait to read the whole series

A breath of fresh, non-vampire clogged air. I was surprised by the seemingly taboo religious topic, and plan to read the rest of the series.

Wow. Awesome. That is all I can say about these books. I had them on my shelf for a while, and finally got around to reading them. I was so drawn into the way Morgan learns about herself, and the world of witchcraft and Wicca. The story and history of it is just amazing. I really love this series!
