Could someone explain to me why my account shows 1209 posted books but when I list my bookshelf the number shown is 1484.  Where's the other 275?  Is this duplicates I have entered?  If so, does that mean when a book with a duplicated is swaped, the duplicate is then added to the posted books?

I see 1212 books on your bookshelf. Do you have books on hold on your bookshelf?

Not that I know of.  I just added some so that may be why the posted number is up.  The difference is when I look at the bookshelf.  How would i check if some books are on hold?

If you've gotten books in PBS trades, the system usually puts them on your shelf on hold.  If you go to your bookshelf it'll show those books with a red circle with a slash through it.  The system counts them and you can see them, but people looking at your public bookshelf can't.

Books on hold will have the "no symbol" in red on the left hand side. I have 19 books on my bookshelf that are posted but on my account I have 59 on my bookshelf as those 40 other books are books I received from the club and have not read yet so I am the only one who can view those. When I receive books over the years they automatically go to my To Be Read list and to the bookshelf on hold.

I am pretty sure you can only have one copy of a book (same ISBN) posted at a time. Then when that copy is requested you can post the other copy.

Also, try a different sorting method (author/date/title, etc). I think some books are hidden in one of those views (author?) because of formatting issues.

If a book does not have an author in the data entry space, then the book will be hidden by the author sort. We need to look at our bookshelf by date added or by title.

Some categories are more likely to be missing the author. Cookbooks, children's books, anthologies. Or you can do data edits to add the authors.
