For half breeds, the character in Jeaniene Frost's Grave books is half vampire.

Hey Kim!  If you haven't read them yet, the main character in the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead is half human/half vampire.  There are three of them out right now.

For the faerie Category you could add Laurell K Hamilton's Merry Gentry series, since it's  faerie.  There's also Midnight Never Come by Marie Brennan.  I haven't read it, but it's on my TBR and it involves the faerie court in Elizabethan England.

I'm almost through Summer Knight by Jim Butcher and it consists of fairies.
