If you cannot tell if it is a bookcrossing book, odds are it is not. Bookcrossing is a tracking system where books have an ID sticker or stamp on them and you can log it in on the net so its journey is tracked. Many are overly marked up and that is why some don't want them. If you see no stamps or stickers with bookcrossing info on the book then your book if fine to send.

I got one once, and it was 'gently' marked, but was a book I wanted to keep so it's not gone any farther than my book closet, but I understand some people are over zealous in marking the books.  Pat

I got my first books from bookcrossing.com on here & I was thrilled. I thought it was cool to be a part of it. But, my kids wanted to keep the books. lol
