Is there a way to do a booklist where it is private- no one can see but yourself.

Yes.  Just check "closed" when you're creating it.

  1. Closed -- Only you can add books to a Closed-type list.                                                                                                                                                                                               Says only I can add books, doesn't say no one else can see it???
  2. what's with the weird formatting??

List Types -- There are three types of Book Lists you can create:

Note: There are no private lists. All lists may be viewed by the general public.

  1. Open lists are collaborative book lists. Any logged-in member can add books to an Open list, regardless of who created it.
  2. Friends lists are collaborative book lists to which only you and your PBS friends can add books.
  3. Closed lists are book lists to which only you can add books.

Yeah, I've spent time in the lists the past 2 nights and am seeing what seems to be a lot of abuse of this new feature.  Some folks are using it to "SELL" books!   Others seem to be putting private lists out there (maybe they didn't know they could be seen by everyone????) that are of NO value to the club members who are then stuck going thru them to see what they are.
