I really like books where the heroine is plus size. There are several
series that I enjoy where the plus size girl saves the day. Selma
Eichler's plump P.I. Desiree Shapiro I have them all finally!! G.A.
McKevett's Savanah Reed series as well.
Those are a couple examples. I would hear about books you may have on your shelf in this same genre.

Sorry, I don't have any books with plus size heroines but I do know some authors who do write about them. I haven't read any of these yet so I don't know how good they are:

Jennifer Weiner (Romances)

Little Earthquakes      In Her Shoes      Good in Bed      Goodnight Nobody

Lynn Murray (Josephine Fuller Mysteries)

Pat Ballard (Romances)

I'm reading through the Savannah Reid series currently - LOVE her!  I did get a little frustrated, though when they named her size and it's two sizes SMALLER than mine currently.  Promptly went and signed up for the diet challenge over in games.... ;)  I'm going to have to start looking for some of these others....

I think authors/publishers are forgetting about the fuller size woman as a heroine. I don't know the actual percentage---but isn't more women size 14 and larger? I think that well written books with this type of heroine would fy off the shelves. I love romances---but darn if I don't get tired of having the heroines a perfect size 5 ---and in their twenties too for that matter. What??????   You would think that if you were 45, 50 or 60  and a size 16 there would be no hope for you to have any one see your worth  let alone find someone attracted to you.  Well, I say it ain't so!  It happens in real life---why not more in fiction?

Oh, I guess they want to continue writing more "realistic" romances like the one I just read. The heroine was penniless and pregnant and driving through town with her two other small children and goes into labor and the doctor just falls in love with her......why yes, I suppose that happens all the time?????  NOT!!!!!!

Grrrr..........

Jennifer Weiner's heroines are usually plus sized.  "Jemima J" by Jane Green is (I believe, it's in my TBR pile still) about a plus sized heroine.  That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Goldy in Diane Mott Davidson's series isn't small either.  While it never comes out and says her size (I don't think so, anyways...), she loves to eat, drink coffee, bake, and grumble about skinny people.  I love her.  ;)

Phooey on loving my short fat self  :)

Lori Foster's Too Much Temptation is my favorite.   (OK It is my favorite book altogether) It is a racy romance.

Lula! The best charactor in that series. Her shining moments were in Book 9 in the Plum series. She is full figured, proud and in your face. I love how her charactor is written.

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency has a plus sized (and right proud of it) heroine.

Jennifer, Too much Temptation is my all time favorite too, her new book Jude's Law hints at the heroine being a plus size also.

Bernie, start it fast you won't be able to put it down. It is sizzling from page one.  Brother Bens book Never Too Much was not quite as good, but I'm a sucker for series

I would like to submit "Wishes" by Jude Deveraux

Its a historical romance with a plus size heroine. I have read and loved many a historical romance novels in my day, but this is the first one where the heroine is not a perfect size 6. I experiend a whole range on emotions reading this book, its a heart-warming, funny, quick read and myself and my plus-sized friends loved it.

OMG! Madeline! I was reading through this post and thinking,"Why hasn't anyone mentioned Wishes!?" I love, love Jude Deveraux and Wishes is one of my all time faves! I love the way Jace thought Nellie was the most beautiful woman and how he was raised. It's a great book for plus-sized women everywhere!!!

Viva la gordita!
