I'm looking for books that have this story line. Were a man or woman convices a man or woman to act like their dating, then fall in love.  Sorta like the movie Baby cakes that Ricki Lake played in. I'm also want to know if the nerd series by Vicki Thompson is any good.

SEP's latest, What I Did For Love has a similar plotline. I think maybe her Heven, Texas did too.  And Kiss an Angel too, come to think of it.

Two that I recently read - both heroines need a date/fiance to bring to a wedding or family gathering - are MAN SHY by Catherine Mulvany and RENT A MILLIONAIRE GROOM by Judy Christenberry. Of course they end up falling in love. I know I've read a bunch with this plot but these are the only two that pop into my head right now. If I think of others I'll post them.

The Nerd Series is very good. I love it! (but then I'm married to a nerd...) I have to admit I didn't like the last one very much (it felt like she ran out of steam.). Nerds Like It Hot is my favorite of the series.

I just read one recently called Power Play by Deirdre Martin.  Not one of her best books, but I still enjoyed it.  It is the last book in a series.

YULE BE MINE  BY Charlene Teglia has this storyline. They pretend to be engaged to keep their families from their usual holiday match-making.

I too married a nerd, and I love the nerd series.  Funny, though, I am currently reading Nerds Like It Hot, and it is my least favorite, so far.  I've read the rest of them and liked them all.

Also, I downloaded Let's Talk About Sex by Vickie Lewis Thompson from iTunes.  It was HOT, HOT, HOT!

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is another one, and it is really good too!

The earlier books by Vicki Thompson Lewis in the Blaze stories were excellent.  Not much of a fan of the Nerd Series except the one I think like everyone else is saying Nerds Like it Hot (the Valentine story one).

I didn't enjoy Susan E. Phillips latest What I did For Love very much, it seemed to go on and on and on...
