There are tons of books I'm interested in so I keep my wish list at the maximum of 200.  I have never declined a wish-listed book that's been offered to me; I've accepted every offer within the first twenty-four hours.  But my wish list keeps dropping below 200, even though I've only been offered a few books on it and always replace them immediately.

I looked through the help topics but didn't see anything that could explain why this is happening.  Any ideas?

Are you clicking Add to Reminder List on your Wish List books?  That will move them off your Wish List to your Reminder List.  Someone else posted about having done this just recently.

No, I don't think it's either one of those.

I only have one or two books with duplicate editions on the list and they haven't been offered to me yet.

And I haven't clicked to add them to the reminder list.

Thanks for those ideas though.

Do you have it sorted by author?  If you sort it by author it could seem that you have less than 200 if you have more than one book listed for an author.  Because it shows the number of authors not books.  Will it still let you add another WL book? Also the list is printable so you might want to do that once and the next time it seems to happen you can compair the printed one to what PBS has listed and then see if something was dropped by the system.

Mary, it's not sorted by author, just left the way it comes up on its own.  And each time it drops below 200, it will let me add books to bring it back to the maximum.

Thanks for the suggestion of printing it, because I've been fretting about the things I had on the list that I've lost.  I'll go try that right now.

Could you possibly been offered a book and not responded within the 2-day window. Did you check your transaction page to see if they are listed there?

Sandra, I'm so addicted to this site that I'm on here multiple times every day so I don't think I could have missed an offering.  I've responded to each one, accepting it, usually within just a few hours.

When I looked at my wish list earlier today, it was down to 195.  I put it back to 200 and printed out a copy.  Next time I lose books from the list, at least I'll know which ones they were.  Don't know any reason that will help but it can't hurt.

Do you add them to your reminder list? removing them from your WL?

No, Julie, that's not it either.  Usually it's the other way around - I have them on my reminder list until there's space on my wish list, then move them to the wish list.

Thanks for the thought though.

Actually, if it's on your WL, and you spot it somewhere else (browsing) and click to add to your RL, it will delete the WL copy.   I recently found this out the hard way!

Hmmmm, Sharon, I don't think I've done that either but I'll watch now to make sure.  Thanks.
