Sent out two books to the same requester a month ago. They show as having been delivered on June 6. I PM'd the requester several days ago and have not heard back from her. Her profile doesn't show her last login but she hasn't added a book to her bookshelf since January or a book to her wish list since April. I'm wondering if she's currently inactive and if it's been long enough to ask PBS to look into it.

Bren, If it were me, I would contact PBS about the matter. You pmed her several days ago and haven't received an answer. Sounds like she is inactive, especially since it was delivered on the 6th and now has gone lost.

She must have logged in during the past couple of weeks, because otherwise the system would have marked the books received instead of lost. I do think it's worth asking PBS to look into it though since she's not answering your PM.

You can also go to your MY ACCOUNT PAGE then to PERSONAL MESSAGES - Click on FROM ME then underneath that UN-READ.  IF the person hasn't read any of your messages there will be a check mark in the box to the left.  If the box is blank then the messages have been read.  Pat

Thanks Pat. I knew it was possible to do that but I wasn't sure how. And no, the message has not been read.

Once the book's system action date has passed, check your Transaction Archive to see if the book was marked lost or received. If it was marked lost, send in Feedback and let the site know that the member did not respond to a PM sent at least 7 days prior (if it has been at least 7 days, wait until 7 days before sending in Feedback). They will look to see if the member is inactive and either prompt them to respond or mark the book received.

The books were marked received this morning but the requester still hasn't read or responded to my PM so I don't know if she marked them received or if PBS did. I do kind of wish I knew for sure.

Since you know they were delivered 6/6, it sounds like you used DC and got your credits so I don't see why it's such a big deal.

It's not really a big deal but these were expensive, heavily wish listed books and I would have filled out a post office report if they were misdelivered, just to see if maybe they could be located.

Like you Bren, even tho I use DC and usually receive my credits before the book is logged in ... I'm also concerned and like to know that the requester has received the books they wanted (and paid a credit for).  If not, I'm happy to rattle some USPS cage.

If they received the book, didn't log it in, and got their credit back when the book went lost ... not fair to the site and other members covering the cost of that credit.
