I need advice about this situation. I sent a book that DC showed received March 27th. I know that was only 15 days ago, but in that time we've celebrated the birthday of a teenage daughter, and the wedding of another daughter. I've kept up with my commitments here through all of it, plus the regular demands of life - job, homeschooling, etc., - that we all have to deal with.

I do understand that there could have been an emergency at their end. That idea is what has kept me patient this far.

Other than just PM'ing, does anyone have any ideas what I should do in these situations? How long do most of you wait before PM'ing,or taking other action?

There are 2 more sent books that were received almost as long ago as this too. I'm so glad that I use DC, or I would be really worried about all of them.

Thanks for any help you can offer !

Chandra

Well, besides PMing I'm not sure what your options are.  If you bought the delivery confirmation here, I wouldn't worry about it at all since the credit is guaranteed--if elsewhere, I'd say 15 days is a sufficient time before sending a polite reminder to mark it received.

If you haven't PMed yet, I would.  If you already have, then I would just wait it out until the book is about to be declared lost by the system.  At that point I would PM and ask if they received the book (just because it's marked delivered doesn't necessarily mean it got to the right place).   If you don't hear back within a week, it's your choice whether you want to get the powers that be involved.

Have you already gotten your credit?  If so, I wouldn't sweat it.

Also, from the help center:

If a book you sent hasn't been marked received yet...

If you sent a PM, you could contact Richard and he can check to see if the member has logged into their account. I also believe it's against the rules to not PM a member back about a situation like this?

Could their account be on vacation hold?  You can check by clicking the PM button and then on their name.  If you go to their bookshelf it'll say on Vacation Hold if it's on hold.  Some people forget about a vacation coming up when they order a book.

Thank you to everyone who has offered advice.

I've PM'ed all 3 members who are shown by DC to have received books at least a week ago.

We will see.

Thanks!
