If a book on your wishlist doesn't show a "Last Posted" date or the amount of wishes granted this week, does that mean it's never been posted into the system? If so, that means that almost half the books on my wishlist have never been posted! (Not counting the couple of books I have on there that aren't published yet, because of course they haven't been posted yet!)

On the other hand, one of the books on my wish list (Dead and Alive  - Dean Koontz's Frankenstein, book 3) didn't show a date last posted or number of wishes granted until a few days ago (today it says 2 wishes were granted last week), and yet I've been moving up in the line since I put it on my wishlist...

I think it only shows any postings within the last 7 days.

Some of mine show that they were last posted in 2008, though... and one was last posted in 2006! (I have to say, part of me is nostalgic for the old system, where you didn't know when a book was last posted :P It's a lot harder to believe I'll get that wishlist book when I can see that it hasn't been posted in three years, or maybe hasn't been posted at all!)

I don't completely trust the "last posted" info. I have several books on my wl that have been posted several times in the last month -- that information was reflected for a while and now it looks like a copy has never been posted -- so I don't get my knickers in a twist! As long as I keep moving up the ranks, it is ok with me!

I'm kinda fuzzy as to why some books don't show a last posted date, and some do...although many of these show dates months or years past.  Recently dropped a book that had been on my wishlist for a couple years, I was number 7 for a book that hadn't been in the system in over three years...finally decided the space could be better used.    Sometimes the waitlist moves as members give up and drop the wish, which still doesn't mean the book will ever be posted.

I don't trust that information either. Most of mine say "N/A" under the last posted, and I have a really hard time believing that they have never been posted here. (Although a fair number of my WL has yet to be released, so I don't expect any last posted date for those!)

Also, although I don't keep track of this, I swear there are some where it will say "wishes granted last week: 1" and then a few weeks later it just says "N/A" under the date last posted. Some of the last posted dates are 2007 and 2008, which is a bit discouraging, but from seeing those I know that the system works to keep track at least part of the time. I know I am moving up the list for these books with "N/A" under the last posted listing, and while it could be partly due to people ahead of me in the queue deleting books from their wishlist, I don't think it would be ALL because of that!

I'll agree with your observation Cheryl...wishes granted last week can alternate with N/A, depending on...well, probably whether or not the book has been posted in the last few weeks!  It seems to be a short term, rather than long term tracking number.
